This is step-by-step tutorial for newcomers to redeem their tBTC. Also Keep Network announced a program of rewards for minting and redemption tBTC. Every 1 tBTC will be exchanged for 200 KEEP. The total pool of rewards is 250,000 KEEP. Learn more about this in the Discord.

The last post was about minting tBTC, this post will be about redeem out already minted tBTC.

For this program you will need:

  1. Browser Google Chrome
  2. Wallet MetaMask
  3. Telegram
  4. Already mined tBTC
  5. 10–15 minutes

STEP 1: Mint tBTC

Information about minting tBTC in this post. If you have already minted tBTC, check its presence in your wallet. This can be done through etherscan. If you don’t have tBTC you won’t be able to do any redemption.

STEP 2: Finding a TDT ID

The ID can be found in etherscan in the transaction history of minting tBTC, but so long and not convenient. It is very useful to use the following telegram bot: https://t.me/tbtc_challenge_bot

The only thing you have to do is to provide your ETH address and the bot will provide all transactions.

Next you need to download the file from the bot and get the TDT ID.

Go to https://block.io/. Choose Bitcoin in Testnet’s. Here you will see your testnet Bitcoin wallet address.

STEP 3: Start redeem tBTC

Next step is to go to tBTC dapp and click Redeem.

In the following screen you have to connect your Metamask Ropsten account and introduce your TDT ID and the address of your BTC testnet wallet where you want to send your testnet BTC.

In the next step you will be asked to authorize your metamask wallet and sign one metmask transaction. Once the transactions have been mined you will have to wait for the signing group to build and sign your transaction.

Once the step is done, you will be asked to sign another Metamask transaction and the screen will change to step 4.

And after two more Metamask transactions your BTC will be sent to your BTC testnet wallet.
